Apple Cinnamon Recovery Bars - Refuel After Training

Serves 12 | 24 Minutes

These apple cinnamon bars are designed specifically for recovery after longer sessions, helping replenish energy stores and support muscle repair. Ideal after endurance training when your body needs both carbohydrates and protein.

Ingredients

70g raisins

2 tbsp. dried apple pieces, chopped

135g porridge oats

70g jumbo oats

1 tbsp. coconut oil

3 tbsp. chicory root syrup

1 pinch ground cinnamon

1 portion vanilla protein powder

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment.



  2. In a large bowl, mix raisins, apple, oats, and cinnamon.



  3. Melt coconut oil, 1 tbsp olive oil, and chicory root syrup in a pan over medium heat until just bubbling. Pour over oat mixture and stir well.



  4. Press into the baking tray and spread evenly. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden. Let cool before slicing into bars.
